Atharvaa trusts Bala blindly

The movie is being directed by Sargunam of Kalavani and Vaagai Sooda Vaa fame
Though much was expected out of Atharvaa, son of yesteryear late actor Murali when he was launched, the actor came to limelight only after his role in National Award winning-filmmaker Bala’s Paradesi. Atharvaa’s stellar performance saw audiences accept him as a hero. Now, the actor is once again looking forward to his next Chandi Veeran where he is collaborating with Bala, who is producing the movie under his home banner B Studios. The movie is being directed by Sargunam of Kalavani and Vaagai Sooda Vaa fame.
Talking about how he was roped in for the project, Atharva says, “I watched Kalavani and longed to work in such a rural genre. One day Bala sir called me and told me that he heard a script and that he felt I was apt for the lead role. I agreed without asking questions. I did not even ask him who the director was and what the script was about. It was only later that Sargunam narrated the story to me. I play a man who returns to his village from Singapore where he works, and a situation lands him in trouble and the entire village is against him.”
With Bala being a hard taskmaster, was he was apprehensive when he called him for the second time? (Smiles) “Oh, no way!” he exclaims and adds, “I totally trust him and his product, so there is no need for me to ask anything. He is one director who knows his job too well and extracts the best out of everybody. After all, he chisels each and every actor and it is a lifetime experience for me. I will go and blindly sign on the dotted lines anytime Bala sir calls me.”
Anandhi, of Kayal fame is paired opposite Atharvaa in the film. The movie has been cleared with ‘U’ certification, and is scheduled for release on August 7.
