Once bitten, twice shy?
Ranbir Kapoor whose film Bombay Velvet faced much flak from the audience and critics alike, is much more cautious with his upcoming films, we hear. Word is that the actor is keenly monitoring the progress of his home production directed by Anurag Basu, Jagga Jasoos and Imtiaz Ali’s Tamasha.
Ranbir’s close associates feel that his overtly cautious attitude is for good reason, but it may be proving to be a little uncomfortable for the seasoned filmmakers like Anurag and Imtiaz.
Says a unit member of one of the films, “Ranbir is a brilliant actor and he has proved that time and again. An actor’s suggestions are always welcome but obsessing about every scene and taking multiple retakes can get to any filmmaker. A director is the best judge of the portions that he shoots and for an actor to demand changes over and over again can be extremely annoying.”
