New Delhi: After serving a notice on Robert Vadra, son-in-law of Congress president Sonia Gandhi, over his controversial Facebook post on Parliament, Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan said on Thursday the issue was “not big” enough to pursue.
Mr Vadra, in his reply to the notice, cited his right to freedom of expression, and sources said while he stressed that he “respects” Parliament and did not want to hurt anyone, there was no regret or apology over his comments. Though his reply is yet to be examined, the Speaker said it was not a big issue. “I do not think it is such a big issue. I have also read the letter. May be it will not be pursued further. I can say that much,” she told reporters Thursday.
