Andhra Pradesh tweaks seniority list, angers Telangana staff
Hyderabad: Yet another row has erupted between Telangana and AP employees over staff bifurcation. TS employees are crying foul over the AP government issuing a “revised seniority list” of employees without informing the TS government.
TS employees allege that the revised seniority list issued by AP would alter postings at the Secretariat and other state-level departments and TS employees would be at a disadvantage.
TS staff asked the TS government not to honour the revised AP seniority list and to refuse postings to AP employees in TS given by Kamalnathan committee on the basis of the revised seniority list.
TS employee leaders claim that as per the AP Reorganisation Act the state-cadre staff should be bifurcated as per the seniority list existing on June 2, 2014, when AP was bifurcated but the AP government has issued a revised seniority list for Assistant Section Officers working in the Secretariat against norms.
