Vetrimaaran’s yet-to-be-released directorial venture Visaaranai has become the first Tamil movie to have its premiere in the competition section of the upcoming 72nd Venice International Film Festival. The film has Attakathi Dinesh and Anandhi in the lead roles.
An elated Dhanush, the producer of the film, was excited when he got to know about the same and expressed his happiness through Twitter, posting, “Visaranai to premier at the 72nd Venice international film festival in Orizzonti competitive category. Proud Wunderbar films (sic),” he tweeted.
While the crew has been receiving appreciation from K’town fraternity, one of the notable celebrity from other industry who acknowledged the achievement was Bollywood director Anurag Kashyap. “Way to go for Tamil Cinema. What a thrilling film it is (sic),” remarked the filmmaker.
