New Delhi: The IS is preparing to attack India to provoke an “Armageddon-like confrontation” with the United States, according to an internal recruitment document of the terrorist outfit, that also seeks to unite the Pakistani and Afghan Taliban into a single “army of terror”.
An investigative story published on Tuesday in the USA Today, and reported by the American Media Institute, refers to a 32-page Urdu document obtained from a Pakistani citizen with links to the Pakistani Taliban. “The document warns that ‘preparations’ for an attack in India are under way and predicts that an attack will provoke an apocalyptic confrontation with the US,” the report said. Three US officials who reviewed it believe it is authentic.
