Of late Dileep has been taking up characters that are different from his usual slapstick roles. Director Joemon has cast Dileep in yet another novel role that he has not attempted before. Dileep will be playing the role of a Government pleader in his upcoming film titled The Legend. Speaking about the film, Joemon says, “The film will have a message relevant to the current social scenario and is an action thriller.” The director says that the film will be on par with his earlier hit films like Samrajyam and Jackpot.
The film will also have Rajeev Pillai, Kannada actor Arun Dev and Sai Kumar in pivotal roles. Dileep will have three heroines, the casting of which is going on. The script is by debutant Baiju Raj and the story and direction is by Joemon himself. The music of the film is by Gopi Sunder and the sound department will be taken care of by Resul Pookuttty. The shoot of the film will begin soon and the locations are Coimbatore, Kochi and Mumbai.
