Sangameshwar will be produced before the ACB court on Wednesday

Hyderabad: The ACB on Tuesday caught red-handed a senior official of the electricity department when he was accepting a bribe of Rs 75,000 from a person at a hotel in Ameerpet.
The ACB said B. Sangameshwar, assistant divisional engineer, operations, ath the Ameerpet sub-division, had demanded Rs 1.5 lakh from the victim, but the deal was finalised at Rs 75000.
According to officials, the demand was not to disconnect the electric supply to 25 electric meters related to a three-storeyed building at Srikrishnanagar Colony.
“He accepted the bribe amount and kept it in his right pocket of trousers. His hand and the trousers tested colour positive” said DSP Ravi Kumar. Sangameshwar will be produced before the ACB court on Wednesday.
