Anurag Kashyap’s ready for a comeback
The filmmaker is gearing up for his next directorial venture already
After the debacle of Bombay Velvet, there was a buzz that Anurag Kashyap was going to leave Mumbai and move to Paris for creative pursuits. Turns out that is far from the truth. We hear that the filmmaker is gearing up for his next directorial venture already — a project he’s tried to keep under wraps for a long time now.
A source said, “Anurag has many scripts in mind. He will direct one under the banner of Phantom Films and produce the others. “He has roped in Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Ayushmann Khurrana for the film and both have prominent parts to play in it.”
Since Bombay Velvet was under too much speculation, Anurag wants to be as low-key about this as possible. If all goes well, the film is likely to go on floors in the first week of August. We sent a text message to Anurag Kashyap but he was unavailable for a comment.
