Reva plans metro rail feeder service
“We have already done a project in Taj Corridor in Agra and it has been very successful” Mahindra Reva said
Hyderabad: Mahindra Reva Electric Vehicles Private Limited, a part of the $16.9-billion Mahindra Group, wants to contribute in a big way to the smart city initiative. In this regard, the firm is in the process of partnering with the state governments to provide feeder services at Metro stations through its seven seater electric van e-Maxximo, a top official of the company said.
Talking on the sidelines of the launch of Reva e2o in the city on Tuesday, Arvind Mathew, chief executive officer, Mahindra Reva said, “We are in talks with various state governments of Delhi and Hyderabad to provide feeder services at metro stations using our e-Maximmo. We have already done a project in Taj Corridor in Agra and it has been very successful. We hope the same response in other cities as well.”
Elaborating on the patronage for electric vehicles, Mr Mathew said that with the government providing incentive under FAME (faster adoption and manufacturing of EVs), there could be a rise in the number of such vehicles bought.
