Teach for Change seeks volunteers
Hyderabad: ‘Teach for Change’ initiative has called for volunteers to join their ‘100 schools campaign’ launched this year in Hyderabad. Goodwill Ambassador Lakshmi Manchu urged volunteers to come forward and join the initiative, at a press conference held on Monday.
Anybody with a passion to bring about change and can pledge two hour every Saturday can apply for becoming a volunteer with ‘Teach for Change’.
“There is a need for 400 volunteers in Hyderabad. Anybody who has the passion and can spare some time can join us as volunteers. We also have the custom making the teaching program for people willing to spare time,” said Founder and CEO of Teach for Change, Chaitanya.
Teach for Change is also going to launch a campaign in partnership with DC in Ahmedabad and Chennai soon.
The campaign has been launched in Vijayawada last month and 75 volunteers have already joined hands with ‘Teach for Change’ in Vijayawada. ‘Teach for Change’ has 500 volunteers in Hyderabad currently.
Teach The World, an international network working across the globe to help educate the poor, has selected Teach For Change as a partner in India.
Teach The World will help Teach For Change in organisational development and develop the initiative nationwide.
