Samajwadi Party counters Governor Ram Naik’s claim
Of the 21 secretary rank officer, two were Yadavs and of the 68 special secretaries, one was a Yadav
Lucknow: The Samajwadi Party has reacted rather strongly to the statement given by UP Governor Ram Naik that members of one particular caste were dominating the state administration.
In a statement issued here by party general secretary Prof Ram Gopal Yadav, the latter has said that it would be better if Mr Ram Naik is projected as a BJP chief ministerial candidate for the 2017 assembly elections since he has failed to maintain impartiality and dignity of the Governor’s post. Prof Ram Gopal Yadav, while rubbishing the governor’s claim of a ‘particular caste’, said that out of 53 principal secretaries in the state government, only one belonged to the Yadav caste.
Of the 21 secretary rank officer, two were Yadavs and of the 68 special secretaries, one was a Yadav. He said that the government had posted only eight Yadav officers among the 75 district magistrates and of the 17 divisional commissioners, one was Yadav.
