Two more women fall victim of chain snatching incidents in the city on Monday morning

BENGALURU: Two more women fall victim of chain snatching incidents in the city on Monday morning in Mico Layout and Girinagar police station limits.

In the first incident, a 50-year-old resident of Gowdanapalya in Mico Layout police station limits was robbed of her gold chain on early Monday morning. Lalitha who had gone to throw garbage to a nearby site was walking down home around 5 am when the two bike-borne men sped away with her gone chain weighing 25 grams.

As it was early morning the victim couldn’t see the bike’s number plate. Later, she approached the jurisdictional police station and filed a complaint in this regard.

In another chain snatching incident, Sethalakshmi, 68, was robbed of her gold chain while she was standing in front of her house. The elderly resident of Nagendra Block in Girinagar police station limits was buying vegetables when two muggers managed to flee from the spot snatching away her gold chain weighing 22 grams.

A case is registered in Girinagar police station in this regard.
