Do you think we're better off now that we all have smart-phones or not? How have cellphones impacted your life?
Perhaps they are still having a conversation via sms, Skype, email. Is this the 'Death of traditional conversation' ?
None of the photos have been staged and that highlights how we are desperately in need of a social smartphone etiquette.
But the fact is people are deriving more pleasure from snuggling with their smartphones rather than a real person.
It is very possible that people could be receiving an urgent message or checking a map on their phone.
Romero has caught them at a time when they were using their smartphone rather than interacting with each other.
People walking around parks, in shopping centers, at restaurants and at social events all have one thing in common.
The photo aptly captures people connection with their digital devices rather than with each other.
His project on 'Death of Conversation' exhibits how technology has taken over our lives, especially to the point where we have forgotten how to connect with others.
