More international passengers at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport

Hyderabad recorded 2,61,443 international passengers in June against 2,28,879 passengers in June 2014

Hyderabad: International passengers traffic at the Shamshabad airport grew 14 per cent, way above the national average of 8.1 per cent, and beat the airports at Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru.

Among domestic passengers, the Hyderabad airport saw a growth of 18 per cent in June as compared to June last year, behind Bengaluru’s 28.9 per cent.

Smaller airports in Vijayawada, Tirupati and Vishakhapatnam recorded a 90 per cent growth in passenger traffic, although the actual number of passengers was much less.

Hyderabad recorded 2,61,443 international passengers in June against 2,28,879 passengers in June 2014. The domestic passenger count was 7,02,905 last month, as compared to 2014.
