Documentary on 26/11 Mumbai attacks for security agencies
The ministry of home affairs has asked for the details from the Mumbai police
MUMBAI: The ministry of home affairs has asked for the details from the Mumbai police of policemen martyred in the 26/11 attacks to be used for a documentary. Sanctioned by the ministry, the documentary will be screened to boost the morale of security agencies.
The MHA has asked for photographs from the city police, of the slain policemen along with detailed description of their brave acts. A similar communication has been sent to other state police departments.
According to sources in the city police, the documentary is a part of the government’s efforts to boost morale amongst trainees in various law enforcement and security agencies.
The documentary is also being considered to be screened in movie theatres before beginning of the film.
“The 15-minute documentary will feature information and video graphics on martyred army men, jawans and policemen who have died in the line of duty. “There will be special emphasis on the 26/11 attacks due the devastation and its infamy as the first such terror strikes in the country. We have also learnt that the documentary would be showed to be shown to troops and jawans posted in insurgency hit areas,” said an official.
