A first-of-its-kind single track video album, Bulbu Song, was released recently with failure in love as its theme, and has been getting a good response from youngsters who love peppy songs with catchy one-liners. Actors Ganesh Prasad and Ineya play the lead in it and the latter tells us why she agreed to be a part of it despite having films from all south industries in her kitty.
The Vaagai Sooda Vaa actress says, “I’m Ganesh’s pair in my ongoing film Karaiyoram and he asked me whether I could be a part of a video album which will have few newbies helming affairs. I listened to the concept and I was thoroughly impressed with it — love failure is a theme youngsters can relate to, and the fact that it’s being presented in a ‘funtainment’ manner excited me. Moreover, ‘bulbu’ (disappointment) is a term which is common among youngsters and I’m sure the song will be a kind of anthem among college-goers.”
Ineya says that she had to perform a few kuthu steps with her clad in a lungi, which is something she enjoyed doing to the fullest. “Dance, for me, was always a stress buster and a form of workout. My expertise in classical and western dance too helped me pull off the sequence,” she says.
The actress adds that associating herself with such avenues isn’t new to her as she forayed into films after featuring in short films and modelling, and that she would take up more of such assignments.
