TS Cable TV Operators are being encouraged to set up their own MSO company

Hyderabad: The Telangana State government is preparing the ground to take control of cable TV system in the state like Tamil Nadu. However, the state is adopting a “cautious approach” in this regard to ensure that it does not come under fire of regulating TV news channels, airing anti-TRS government news.

Instead, Telangana Cable TV Operators are being encouraged to set up their own MSO company with the backing of the government. Telangana State cable TV operators who are at loggerheads with MSOs like Hathway, are planning to set up their own MSO by investing up to Rs 50 crore.
