Ever since Sathyaraj stole the show for his role of the army chief Kattappa in Baahubali, his stakes in K’town have hit the roof! Though many filmmakers want to cash in on his newfound popularity, the veteran actor has become quite choosy about his projects. Reportedly, he turned down an offer to play a baddie opposite Vijay in his next, under Atlee’s direction.
Now the latest we hear is that Lingusamy, who is known for apt casting in his films; be it even a minuscule character is toying with the idea of approaching Sathyaraj for a negative role in his much-awaited Sandakozhi sequel.
While all the other leads like Vishal and Raj Kiran are being repeated in the sequel, Sathyaraj is being considered for the role of the powerful villain, which was portrayed by Malayalam producer-turned-actor Lal in the original. But the actor is still contemplating whether he would want to go back to playing grey characters.
