Lakshmi Menon to don a different avatar

Actress Lakshmi Menon was rumoured to play a ghost in Jayam Ravi’s next, directed by Shakti Soundar Rajan of Naaigal Jaakirathai fame. But when DC contacted the director, he clarified the information to be untrue. “Yes, Lakshmi is part of my film, but she doesn’t play a ghost. It is not a horror movie as the reports going around indicate. The movie is based on totally a different genre,” he says and adds the first schedule of the movie is already done in Ooty.

Shakti tells us, “We are planning to shoot in Hyderabad and Chennai. Baby Anika, who was seen in Yennai Arindhaal is doing an important role in the film.” And does Lakshmi play a village belle again like how she’s usually seen? “Not at all,” he smiles. Imman scores the music for this untitled flick.
