Multi-level flyovers put on fast track, gets Rs 2,631 crore
The government has ordered the GHMC to complete the tendering process in 30 days
Hyderabad: The plan to build 20 multi-level flyovers at important junctions in Greater Hyderabad, under the Strategic Road Development Plan is moving at a fast pace, as the government accorded administrative sanction allotting Rs 2,631 crore for the project on Friday.
The government has ordered the GHMC to complete the tendering process in 30 days and the entire project in 2.5 years. The sanctioned Rs 2,631 crore is for works to be carried out in the first phase. According to the government order the project will be taken up with EPC tenders with deferred annuity payments. The GHMC is authorised to appoint a consultant to deal with this project.
The locations covered are KBR Park entrance junction, Maharaja Agrasen junction, Cancer Hospital junction, Film nagar, Road No. 45 junction, Jubilee Hills Check Post junction, LB Nagar junction, Bairamalaguda junction, Kamineni Hospital junction on inner ring road, Chintalakunta Check Post junction, Rasoolpura, Uppal, Owaisi Hospital, Biodiversity Park junction, Ayyappa Society junction, Rajiv Gandhi Statue junction, Bahadurpura, Abids GPO to Chaderghat and Malakpet, Cyber Towers junction and Mind Space junction.
