The West Division traffic police seized 100 vehicles and booked the erring drivers

BENGALURU: In a major drive on Thursday morning against autorickshaw drivers demanding excess fare and refusing to ply certain routes, the West Division traffic police seized 100 vehicles and booked the erring drivers.

Based on complaints by thousands of commuters, the special drive was taken up in City Market traffic police station limits by the area inspector Narsimha Murthy.

Regarding the operation DCP (West) Traffic, S. Girish said, “The drive started around 6 30 am and got over by 8.30 am. The traffic cops deployed in mufti caught as many as 100 auto-drivers for violating traffic rules.” In a span of two hours police seized 100 auto-rickshaws and booked 100 cases.
