Turning 40 has always been considered a bit of a turning point in people’s lives. Suriya turned 40 on July 23 and he’s turned into quite the party animal. The actor, who is shooting in Mumbai, is known to be a quiet homebody, but it looks like his 40th birthday was anything but quiet!
Sources tell us that he along with wife Jyothika threw a big bash to ring in his birthday at a fancy star hotel and invited all their industry buddies. In addition to his own family — brother Karthi, sister Brinda and their respective spouses, actors Arya, Dhanush and wife Aishwarya and a number of K’town celebs turned up.
The party went on till very late, after which Suriya returned to Mumbai. While most stars were tight-lipped about the fun evening, Simbu who couldn’t make it, let the cat out of the bag when he tweeted: “Happy birthday to the most dedicated and talented actor @Suriya_offl anna .Sorry na couldn’t make it for the party due to shoot .God bless” (sic).”
Several other stars wished him on Twitter, including his co-star Samantha who said: “Happy happy birthday to an amazing actor and human being. Have nothing but love and respect for him. @Suriya_offl; and Dulquer Salman: “Happy birthday @Suriya_offl Sir !!! May you continue to entertain all of us for decades to come!”
