'Drishyam' chops scene involving woman being slapped
The film also had to cut out a few words from the dialogues
Mumbai: The Hindi remake of ‘Drishyam’ which will hit theatres next week on July 31 had to go through a small cut before passing the censor board. According to reports, a scene where a woman is slapped during an interrogation has been cut.
Interestingly the same scene was allowed to be passed in the original Malayalam film and the recently released Tamil version. The Censor Board is strictly against any kind of scene or dialogue that depicts violence against women.
Apart from the minor visual cut, a few words in the dialogues have also been discarded.
