Turkish journalist fired over anti-Erdogan tweet

He made Erdogan responsible for a suicide bombing that killed 32 people

Ankara: A prominent Turkish journalist has been fired by his newspaper over a tweet which suggested that President Recep Tayyip Erdogan was responsible for a suicide bombing this week that killed 32 people.

The blast has been blamed on militants associated with the Islamic State group.

In a tweet posted Wednesday, Kadri Gursel said it was "shameful" that world leaders were offering condolences to the "Number 1 cause of IS terrorism."

Many accuse government leaders of having long ignored IS militants using Turkish territory to cross into Syria.
