Telangana forms its own fee regulatory body
The AFRC also ensures that Common Entrance Tests (CET) are conducting fairly
Hyderabad: The Telangana state government on Wednesday issued orders constituting the Admissions and Fee Regulatory Committee (AFRC). The eleven-member TS AFRC would be headed by retired High Court judge Justice P. Swaroop Reddy.
The AFRC regulates fees in private unaided institutions in the field of engineering, medical, law and teacher education. The AFRC also ensures that Common Entrance Tests (CET) are conducting fairly.
The AFRC, first constituted for undivided AP, was serving both AP and TS after the bifurcation. But now, the TS government has formed its own AFRC. Other members are yet to be appointed.
