Vijayawada: A four-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a Class VIII boy in Ibrahimpatnam on Wednesday. The 14-year-old accused, a student of Class VIII in ZP High School in the area allegedly took the victim living in his neighborhood to an abandoned place in guise of offering her chocolates and sexually assaulted her on Wednesday.
After the girl returned home, her mother found something wrong with the girl’s mannerisms and asked her about the same. As the girl revealed what has happened, the mother realised that the girl was sexually assaulted and approached Ibrahimpatnam police.
Police confirmed the girl was raped after the medical examination report came. A case was registered against the juvenile under section 376 of IPC and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, (POCSO) 2012, according to Ibrahimpatnam inspector Mr D Chavan. The accused was taken into custody.
