Parineeti Chopra, Sonam Kapoor, Anurag Kashyap catch 'Masaan' special screening

<p><img src="http://dd508hmafkqws.cloudfront.net/sites/default/files/styles/article_node_view/public/masaan-screening-17.jpg"></p><div>The makers of the critically aclaimed ‘Masaan’, starring Richa Chadha, Sanjay Mishra, Vicky Kaushal and Shweta Tripathi, held a special screening of the film for a few Bollywood actors and directors on Wednesday. Directed by Neeraj Ghaywan, and produced by Indo-French production companies, the film premiered in the Un Certain Regard section of the prestigious annual movie gala. It is all set to hit Indian cinemas this Friday. </div><div> </div><div>We spoke to the actress about her choice in films, to which she said, “It might have been in the ‘development process’ when Neeraj Ghaywan narrated the rough script to me, but I didn’t hesitate for a second before I took it up, as the story was an exception.”</div><div> </div><div>"I was getting offers from big companies, but I don't want to do it just for the heck of it. I get offers from big banners every month, but I don't do it if they are not worth it. It has to be a strong role, not repetitive. I feel it is good to be part of big films when your role is substantial," Richa told PTI.</div><div> </div><div>About her role in this film, Richa said, "In my upcoming film like 'Masaan', the role is very different. Then in 'Main Aur Charles' my role is of a girl whom anyone can befool. In 'Jiya Aur Jiya', I am playing a quiet, shy girl. In 'Aur Devdas', I enact a social worker, in 'Cabaret', I am a playing a girl who has great survival instincts."</div><div> </div><div>Last evening’s screening saw stars like Soman Kapoor, Parineeti Chopra, Kunal Kapoor, Vivaan Shah along with his parents Nasirudin Shah and Ratna Pathak . A number of Bollywood producers and directors like Anurag Kashyap, Kabir Khan and his wife Mini Mathur were also in attendance. </div><div> </div><div> Anurag loved Neeraj Ghaywan's ‘Masaan’ so much that he wishes he had directed the movie. The director had taken to his twitter handle to praise the film. Like Anurag, Sonam and Parineeti also praised the film with their short tweets. Soman posted: masaan what a beautifully poignant film.. Stunning performance by every actor.. Great photography and brilliant writing and direction.</div><div>Parineeti added : Sanjay Mishra sir you made me cry!!!
