Talasani Srinivas Yadav hits out at critics
Minister warned his political opponents — he even named a few — and said he would not keep quiet
Hyderabad: Hitting back at the Congress, Telugu Desam and the BJP, commercial taxes minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav on Tuesday challenged them to defeat him in the Sanatnagar Assembly by-polls whenever it was held.
Breaking his silence on his resignation from the Assembly, the TD MLA-turned-TRS minister accused the opposition parties and said, “They cannot preach and practice different yardsticks for similar things. I feel that the same procedures practiced by them during their regime will be followed in my case too, let the Speaker decide on accepting my resignation letter and they should keep quiet till then.”
He reminded the media that on December 16 last year, before joining the state Cabinet, he had resigned from the TD and the Assembly and had even released the letters of his resignation to the media.
Addressing a press meet at the Secretariat, the minister warned his political opponents — he even named a few — and said he would not keep quiet and would reveal their murky past if they continued to attack him on the episode.
“How come Mr Naidu admits two YSR Congress MPs and several Congress MLCs in AP without insisting on their resignations? and his party men in TS are making a hue and cry over my issue,” Mr Yadav said.
He asked what were Mr Uttam Kumar Reddy, Mr Shabbir Ali and Mr Gandra Venkata Ramana Reddy doing when their leader, Late Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy, had shamelessly admitted several TRS legislators into the Congress? Did they point out to him that what he was doing was absolutely undemocratic?
