Post-Pushkaralu, Chief Ministers have lost posts
Hyderabad: Is taking a dip during the Godavari Pushkaralu a career-ending move for a CM? Since 1955, there were five Pushkarams (excluding the present one) and each has brought ill-luck to the CM.
Starting with Bezwada Gopala Reddy in 1955 and ending with Mr N. Chandrababu Naidu in 2003, the holy dip has proved to be a curse.
Astrologers say that a dip in the river cannot do anything, but bring good luck to an individual, CM or not. They say that the CMs losing their posts later had nothing to do with a “Pushkaralu Effect”, and all was due to their Grahacharam.
Noted astrologer C.V.V. Subramanyam said, “No one can commit a sin by taking a holy dip in Godavari, instead they will get some Punyam; the CM lost their jobs because of their Graha Yogam and nothing else.
But there will be some impact on CMs as they are heads of state responsible for arrangements and if devotees are inconvenienced, it will have a negative impact on the almanac of the leaders.”
