CBI officials took Mr Lad to the Parappana Agrahara central prison

BENGALURU: Ballari City Congress MLA Anil H. Lad, who was arrested by CBI officials on Wednesday in connection with the export of illicit iron ore from Belekeri port in Karwar, has been remanded to judicial custody till August 3.
Mr Lad, who was in the CBI custody since Wednesday evening, was produced before the designated CBI court in the City Civil Court Complex on Monday morning. The judge remanded him to judicial custody for 14 days and directed the CBI counsel to file objections for his bail petition in two days.
CBI officials took Mr Lad to the Parappana Agrahara central prison by afternoon.
