Hyderabad: A hotel employee died in the wee hours of Monday while undergoing treatment at the Gandhi Hospital. The deceased, who was riding a bike, was hit by another bike from behind in the Addagutta area. The man was returning home from work on Sunday night, when the incident happened.
Police said that, Biradari Balaji, 30, was a resident of Addagutta. He was working for a hotel near Raja Deluxe theater in Musheerabad. On Sunday night, after completing work, he and his friend Raju started home on Balaji’s bike. When they reached the Addagutta bus stop, another bike hit their bike from behind. Balaji fell to the left and suffered serious head injuries while Raju suffered minor injuries, said an official from Tukaramgate police station. Both the injured were shifted to Gandhi Hospital for treatment.
Balaji succumbed at around 2 am on Monday while Raju is undergoing treatment and is out of danger. Balaji is survived by his wife and two children. Police registered a case and has launched a hunt to nab the biker.
