Dhanshika to star in a film based on honour killing
The film is now being shot in the temple town of Madurai
Dhanshika who proved her mettle with Bala’s Paradesi is thrilled with the way her upcoming film Kaala Koothu is shaping up. The movie, based on the currently relevant topic of honour killing, is being directed by Nagarajan. Giving her company is Kalaiyarasan of Madras fame. The film is now being shot in the temple town of Madurai.
“I have a meaty role. I play a college student in the film. Though I can’t talk much about the story, I’m sure audiences will relate to the film’s subject as they would have read about a similar incident in the media,” Dhanshika tells DC.
It was heard that the actress changed her name to Sai Dhanshika recently. “I am an ardent devotee of Sai Baba. Normally when Sai devotees meet each other they address them by prefixing ‘Sai’ to the name. That’s how people call me Sai Dhanshika. But my screen name remains Dhanshika,” she says. Actor Prasanna, who is back after a short hiatus, too plays a crucial role in the movie with Srushti Dange playing his on screen partner.
