Mumbai: Be it a lengthy feature film or a short, director Sujoy Ghosh’s films are bound to leave you asking for more. The director recently released a short film on digital platforms titled ‘Ahalya’.
The bilingual film (Bengali, English) stars Soumitra Chatterjee, Radhika Apte and Tota Roy Chowdhury. The film is a retelling of the legendary tale of Ahalya, who was the wife of sage Gautama Maharishi in Hindu mythology. Ahalya was seduced by the King of Gods, Indra, and cursed for infidelity. She was then relieved of her curse by Lord Ram.
