More cops to monitor Pushkar rush
KCR lso roped in CMO officials to monitor the arrangements in the districts
Hyderabad: The Telangana government has deployed police from Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy, Medak, Nalgonda and Mahbubnagar districts to control traffic on the roads leading to Pushkar ghats.
Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao who reviewed Pushkar arrangements on Sunday with officials at his camp office in Begumpet, also roped in CMO officials to monitor the arrangements in the districts.
Mr Rao asked ministers and officials to lay special focus on Pushkar ghats at Bhadracha-lam, Kaleshwaram, Dharma-puri and Basar, which are witnessing an unprecedented number of pilgrims. Mr Rao noted that a significant number of pilgrims from AP were the visiting these ghats in TS.
Ministers Harish Rao, T. Nageshwara Rao, Jagadish Reddy, Dr C. Laxma Reddy, A. Indrakaran Reddy, Jogu Ramanna and chief whip Koppula Eashwar have been stationed in Adilabad, Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Warangal and Khammam, since July 14.
He asked RTC officials to run requisite buses to meet the demand. DGP Anurag Sharma made an aerial survey of the area.
