Acer hasn’t launched a new smartphone in the Indian market for quite some time. However, latest reports state that the company plans to unveil a new 5-inch smartphone with 12MP rear and front-facing camera soon.
Acer’s new handset has been given a new codename – ‘Acer S59’ on GFX Bench, which has leaked out the other key specifications as well.
According to the leaked information, the Acer S59 handset is expected to be powered by 1.3GHz octa-core processor and run on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system. Acer S59 is also speculated to offer 2GB of RAM and 11GB of storage capacity.
Media reports state that the Acer S59 handset will likely fall in the budget phone category.
