I am sorry to disappoint: Mahesh Babu

At the audio release of Srimanthudu, held on Saturday evening, Mahesh Babu praised director Koratala Siva for his ability to write good dialogues and story. “In this film, I worked with many senior actors like Jagapathi Babu, Rajendra Prasad, Sukanya and Tulasi and it was great working with all of them. At the same time, I am sorry that I disappointed all of you with my earlier films. If it is my fault then please forgive me,” the actor said to his fans.

Interestingly, Venkatesh attended as the special guest and unveiled the music. “I thank Annayya (elder brother) for coming to this function,” said Mahesh talking about Venkatesh. Both acted as Chinnodu and Peddodu in the blockbuster multi-starrer Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu. Thus, Mahesh refers to Venkatesh as Annayya.

Mahesh also praised Shruti Haasan for her talent. “I am a big fan of Kamal Haasan and it’s really good to work with his daughter Shruti Haasan. She is a singer, dancer and a good actress,” said Mahesh Babu.

Talking about Jagapathi Babu, who plays his father in the film, the actor said, “Initially when we narrated the story to him, we were scared whether he would accept to do the father’s role. But he liked the story and he accepted it. I thank him for playing this character.”
