Leaked: Samsung Galaxy A smartwatch won’t be running on Android Wear

After the undistinguished performance by the Gear Live smartwatch, Samsung is now working on its new Galaxy A smartwatch.

As usual, in anticipation of the gadget, there has been a lot that has been speculated and leaked about the smartwatch. In the latest scoop, according to a report by SamMobile, Samsung’s new smartwatch will not be powered by Android Wear. Instead, it will run on Samsung’s own operating system Tizen, which will boost the device’s UX design for circular screens.

Although the screen size of the smartwatch hasn’t been revealed yet, the Galaxy A will sport a super AMOLED display with a resolution of 360 pixels.

It will be powered by an Exynos 3472 dual-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz, along with 786MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage. The Galaxy A will also feature a 250mAh battery, along with Bluetooth 4.1 and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n for connectivity. Along with that, it may also feature a GPS, an accelerometer and a heart rate sensor.
