Guwahati: Ulfa chief Paresh Baruah, in an unusual incident on Thursday, participated in a live debate on a local television channel through telephone and warned the Hindi-speaking residents to beg an apology for their protest against Ulfa. Paresh Baruah was live on the primetime television debate for more than 20 minutes and took question from the anchor and one of the three panelists. Security sources told the Deccan Chronicle that Ulfa chief was connected through his satellite phone. The Programme was telecast live from 8 pm on Thursday.
