Hyderabad: Contract nurses of Gandhi Hospital climbed on top of the main building and threatened to commit suicide if their jobs were not regularised.
About 200 contract nurses of Gandhi Hospital have been protesting since last week demanding regularisation of their jobs and benefits on par with regular nurses.
However, on Friday morning, some the contract nurses climbed on top of the main building and threatened to commit suicide if their demands are not met.
But after an hour, they came back and held meetings with officials. Contract nurses are demanding that their jobs be regularised as the government had promised to regularise all employees. Nurses are also demanding that their salaries be hiked.
