CREAMY FENUGREEK CHICKEN
Ingredients
- 600 gms boneless chicken( cut into thin long pieces)
- Marinate ingredients
- 1 cup Yoghurt
- 2 tbsp kasoori methi (dried fenugreek leaves)
- 1 tsp white pepper powder
- Salt
Paste ingredients
- 1 tbsp ginger paste
- 1 tsp garlic paste
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- 4 green chillies
- 2 onions
- Oil
Method
- Marinate chicken with yoghurt , pepper powder, kasoori methi and salt.
- Grind the paste ingredients.
- Heat the oil in a pan and fry the onion paste until it changes colour.
- Add the marinated chicken, Fry for 3 to 4 minutes.add a little water.
- Cover, lower the heat and cook until the chicken is tender.
- Add the cream and cook for another 2 minutes.
- Garnish with coriander leaves and serve with paratha.
CRISPY SESAME LAMB ON LETTUCE
Ingredients
- 500 gms boneless lamb (cut into thin strips)
- 1 tsp black pepper powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp tabasco chilly sauce
- 1 tbsp oil
- 100 gms flour ( mix 50 gms maida, 50 gms cornflour, 1/2 tsp pepper powder, salt)
- Oil for frying
Method
- Mix salt, pepper, chilly sauce, oil with the lamb marinate for 2 hr.
- Add the flour mixture to the marinated lamb and mix well.
- Heat oil in a wok or kadai and deep fry the lamb strips, keep aside.
Sauce
- 1 tsp garlic ( finely chopped)
- 1 tsp ginger ( grated)
- 2 star anise
- 2 tbsp red chilly paste
- 5 tbsp soya sauce
- 2 tbsp tomato sauce
- 1 tbsp vinegar
- 2 tbsp light brown sugar
- Salt
- A little water
Method
1- Boil all the above ingredients, till it reaches a sauce consistency.
Other ingredients
- 1 red bell pepper (sliced)
- 1 green bell pepper (sliced)
- 1 yellow bell pepper (sliced)
- 2 tbsp roasted sesame seeds
- 1 bunch lettuce leaves
- Oil
Method
- Heat oil in a pan, add the peppers and fry for a minute.
- Add fried lamb strips, add the prepared sauce give it a good mix.
- Sprinkle the sesame seeds.
- Roll this mixture into lettuce leaves and serve.
