Dhanush and 'Maari' crew celebrate film's successful box office opening

Mumbai: South superstar Dhanush has hit an all time high with his new film 'Maari'. The film that released this Friday, made a splash at the box office and it also happens to be the biggest opening for the actor in his career.

The film has been praised by fans and movie critics alike, and is said to be a perfect 'masala entertainer'. Apart from fans flocking to the theatres nation wide, some have gone the extra mile and have even garlanded posters of the star and have even been seen pouring milk over the larger than life posters of the actor.

According to several media reports, the film is giving Salman Khan's 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' a run for its money, as theatres are believed to be running house full shows all through the weekend.

Last evening, the cast and crew came together at a hotel to celebrate the film's huge opening. Dhanush along with his co-star Vijay Yesudas cut a small cake while being cheered on by his crewmembers. Special Thara Local t-shirts were printed for the crew as they partied the night away. A few even went on to share pictures from the bash online.

Dhanush later took to his Twitter handle to thanks his fans with a message that read: ‘Thank u thank u thank u all for this phenomenal opening. Biggest opening of my career. Celebrations r in order. Happiest day’.
