Madhuurima turns assistant director

Tollywood actress Madhuurima, who was last seen in Vinay-starrer Serndhu Polaama, will be one of the assistant directors for the upcoming Hindi film Azhar, a biopic based on former Indian captain Mohammed Azharuddin.

We hear that she will soon be leaving for Britain with the film’s crew, for a month-long shoot. Sources say that the actress has joined the sets as an assistant to director Tony D’Souza. The director’s wife and the actress are good friends, and the word is that’s how she bagged the opportunity to work in this biopic. Azhar will have Emraan Hashmi, Pracchi Desai, Nargis Fakhri, Huma Qureshi and Gautam Gulati in important roles. Sources add that for quite some time now, Madhuurima, who had done films like, Shadow, Veta, Temper and Aambala, wanted to learn filmmaking and hence she chose to work as an assistant director get some hands-on experience.
