Advaita, who debuted with Azhagarsamiyin Kuthirai later decided to revert to her real name Keerthi Shetty since she felt that her screen name was not being pronounced properly by many. The actress created a buzz when she chose to act in the film Snehavin Kaadalargal. Looks like shifting to her original name has brought her luck! The actress has been roped in for a movie titled Sevili where she has a solid role to perform opposite Arvin Roshan, who had also once changed his name.
Earlier, he had done a few films in Tamil with the screen name Sanjay.Directed by cinematographer RA Anand, Sevili revolves around the emotional struggle between a boy, his mother and foster mother.
“At a time when thrillers, ghost movies, action and humour account for most of the upcoming releases, my film is a family drama with a dose of message,” says Anand. About her role, Keerthi says, “I play the daughter of an MLA, who is a simple and down-to-earth person. There’s lot of scope for me to perform.”
