Xiaomi shows off a 48-inch 4K TV, as slim as the Mi 4, priced at Rs 30,600
Xiaomi, the Chinese tech company, seems to be on a mission to change the way the world pays for high-end electronics, has announced yet another deal-breaker product, a 48-inch 4K TV, priced just around Rs 30,600.
The Chinese tech giant is holding a media event, where they have announced the next-generation 4K television set with a 48-inch display panel that is almost as thin as their flagship smartphone, the Mi 4. The 4K lossless TV, Mi TV2S’ display panel stands thin at just 9.9mm, sports a 4K resolution (4096 x 2160 pixels), and features a built-in Dolby sound system. It is powered by the latest MStar 6A928 chipset and runs on Android Lollipop-based MIUI TV operating system.
Xiaomi has also invested in redesigning the power plug of the television. The power plug is compressed even further and was redesigned by Volex, the power cord supplier.
The Mi TV 2S will be available only in China for a price of 2999 Yuan (approx USD 483).
The tech giant has also announced a Mi Water Purifier, aimed to reduce the footprint of plastic used in water purification and bottling systems.
