After his shaadi in Delhi and a starry reception in Mumbai, Shahid Kapoor reported back to work on the sets of the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, which he is judging in its new season. However, the celebration of his nuptials continued — with the producers adopting the theme “Party All Night” for this week’s contest, in honour of the newly weds.
A source from the set reports, that there were not just performances, but also lots of fun and games for the contestants and judges — a lot like what a big, fat desi shaadi might have.
“It was so much fun!” our source adds. “Karan Johar quizzed Shahid in front of the other contestants, asking if he had a badtameez or sharif dil. Shahid replied that his dil is “sold out”. Shahid’s exact words were, ‘My heart is not for sale any more, it’s sold out’.”
We also hear that Shahid later played a game with contestant Vivian D’Sena and host Manish Paul, where he asked them to choose a partner. When Manish chose judge Lauren Gottlieb and Vivian picked Ashish, Shahid told them their task was to wrap their partner from head to toe, using four bundles of tissue paper. “That wasn’t all…” our source adds. “The team arranged a dhol and everyone on the sets danced their hearts out, doing the bhangra. They also had a special video of everyone congratulating Shahid. There was lots of dhamaal and good-natured teasing.”
Shahid also requested that there be no eliminations this week. Sounds like the JDJ team had a whole lot of fun.
