Akshay stunts surpass original

Hollywood team which did action sequence feels the end-results in the remake are far superior

For Brothers, the Bollywood version of Gavin O’Connor’s 2011 actioner Warrior, the same action team that did the famous boxing sequences and other stunts in the original has been roped in. And now, we hear the Hollywood team feels the end-results in the remake are far superior to the original.

Confirming this, Akshay Kumar, the lead in Brothers, says, “That’s right. The stunt team from L.A. that did our action scenes in Brothers said we surpassed the quality of fights that were shot in Warrior. So that’s definitely a film for the world audience to look forward to.”

Sources close to Brothers say that the makers Dharma Productions aims to crack the global market with this film. A source says, “Akshay’s boxing sequences are better than what Tom Hardy did in the original. The same action team supervised the boxing scenes in both films. And they feel Akshay has gone ahead of the original. That’s a big leap for Bollywood actioners.”
