Hyderabad: Focussing on the rural market, Yamaha Motors has launched ‘Saluto’ at Balkonda village in Nizamabad district in Andhra Pradesh. The vehicle has been priced at Rs 54,100 (ex-showroom, Nizamabad) and will be available across all Yamaha authorised dealers in the city.
Speaking on the sidelines of the launch, Yamaha Motor India vice-president, Mr Roy Kurian said, “The Indian Motorcycle market constitutes about 68 per cent of the total two-wheeler market at 11 million units. Out of this, the 100-125cc motorcycle class has the largest share with nine million units. Saluto is intended to expand sales in the the largest demand category in India by offering the best fuel economy performances.”
