Telangana State Council of Higher Education plans for eamcet counselling

Hyderabad: The Telangana State Council of Higher Education is planning to commence TS Eamcet counselling from Thursday, July 16, subject to the Hyderabad HC pronouncing its verdict on Wednesday and the JNTU Hyderabad providing the list of engineering colleges.

The HC had made it clear on Monday that an order would be issued on Wednesday. TSCHE authorities have drawn up a tentative schedule with the first phase counselling beginning from July 16 and second phase allotments ending on July 31, the day of the SC deadline.

According to the tentative Eamcet counselling schedule, first phase counselling is to last from July 16 till July 19. Students can make changes in their options from July 20 while the next two days will be for compilation of data.

Seat allotments are likely to be made on July 23. Students will be given time to report at their allotted engineering colleges after which second phase counselling will begin.

The second phase could be scheduled on July 29 and July 30 with allotments on July 31. The first 45,000 ranks can exercise their options on July 16 and 17 while the next 45,000 rankers will get the opportunity on the last two days of the four-day long first phase counselling .
