Moderate rains in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh
Light rains occurred in Karimnagar, Nizamabad and Ramagundam
Hyderabad: Both states experienced light to moderate rains on Tuesday, providing huge relief from the stifling heat. The city itself recorded 5.3 mm of rainfall. Just on Monday, the IMD had predicted high temperatures for five more days. Parkal mandal of Warangal district recorded 7 cm of rain followed by Shayampet, 5 cm, and Palawancha, 4 cm rain. Light rains occurred in Karimnagar, Nizamabad and Ramagundam.
In AP, Bapatla from Guntur received 8 cm rains. followed by Avanigadda, 7 cm, and Karamchedu, 6 cm. Elsewhere, high day-time temperatures prevailed: Bapatla also recorded 41.4ºC. In TS, Khammam sizzled at 39.4ºC, Nalgonda 39º and Nizamabad 38.4ºC.
